Leading Russian businessmen attended the seventh Ukrainian lunch in Davos on Friday with the participation of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, which was dedicated to the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that the event organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation had been attended by Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov, Rusal CEO Oleg Deripaska, Renova President Viktor Vekselberg, AFK Sistema Chairman Vladimir Yevtushenko, as well as bankers German Gref (Sberbank), Andrei Kostin (VTB), and Vladimir Dmitriev (Vnesheconombank).

"It’s not a complete list, because there were representatives of other well-known Russian companies… And it was their right – to come or not to come.

The fact that they came means that it’s interesting and important to them," Ukrainian businessman Victor Pinchuk commented on the participation of Russian guests.

He said that the event had attracted the interest of not only Russian and Western businessmen, but also investors from other countries. In particular, the lunch was attended by a son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
