You're reading: Ukrainian, German ministers discuss transition to visa-free regime for Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko and German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere have discussed the cooperation in the implementation of an Action Plan on the introduction the visa-free travel for short trips by Ukrainians to the European Union, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

The meeting took place during Hryschenko’s working visit to the Munich conference.

In addition, the two officials spoke about the ways to ensure an adequate level of security during the hosting of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship by Ukraine. They agreed on a number of bilateral and multilateral (in particular, in the format of Ukraine – Poland – Germany) steps in this context.
