Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has signed a resolution allowing the Health Ministry to allocate Hr 550,000 to people's artist of Ukraine Bohdan Stupka in order to provide urgent medical aid to him.

"The Health Ministry is allowed to urgently allocate Hr 550,000 in expenses for the medical treatment abroad of people’s artist of Ukraine and the former Soviet Union Bohdan Sylvestrovych Stupka from a budget-sustained program on urgent medical treatment for Ukrainian citizens abroad," reads the text of a Cabinet of Ministers resolution on the allocation of funds for medical treatment abroad, which was signed by the prime minister on Monday.

Under the same resolution, the Finance Ministry, while drawing up proposals for the introduction of amendments to the law on Ukraine’s state budget for 2011, should foresee an increase in budgetary funds to the Health Ministry under the same program.
