You're reading: Aircraft departs from Boryspil for Tripoli to evacuate Ukrainian citizens

Kyiv, February 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A Boeing 737 aircraft of Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) has departed from Boryspil International Airport for Tripoli to evacuate Ukrainian citizens from Libya.

"On Feb. 25 at 1110 Kyiv time, a Boeing 737 aircraft of Ukraine International Airlines with 160 seats has departed from Boryspil International Airport for Tripoli," Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told Interfax-Ukraine.

He noted that landing clearance had been confirmed at the airport of the Libyan capital.

The time of arrival and information about return flight will be announced later, he said.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Libya is continuing to draw up lists of Ukrainian citizens who want to return home on this flight or by others, Dykusarov added.
