Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn will make an official visit to Croatia on March 9-10, the Ukrainian parliament's press service has reported.

Lytvyn is due to meet with Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandrokovic.

Lytvyn will also visit the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb, where he will attend the opening of an exhibition, entitled "Ukrainian Embroidery and Folk Art," timed to mark the days of Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. The speaker is also scheduled to talk to the students.

Lytvyn will also meet with representatives of the Ukrainian national minority in Croatia and participate in the unveiling of a monument to Ukrainian poet and writer Ivan Franko in Lipik.
