Ukrainian aircraft building engineers could take part in a commission for investigation into the crash of An-148 airplane with Zaporizhia-made turbo jet engines in Belgorod region in Russia, Chief Designer of Zaporizhia's OJSC Motor Sich, Serhiy Shankin, has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Russia has not made claims against Ukraine after the Saturday air crash of An-148. Actually the airplane was built at the Voronezh aviation plant. I think that Ukrainian representatives have left for the site of the air crash," Shankin said on March 5.

He said that An-148 is a new and promising aircraft. It was designed by Antonov Company (Kyiv) and equipped with Zaporizhia-made engines, although its mass operation has not yet started.
