The Ukrainian Justice Ministry has canceled the use of holograms on documents issued by the bodies of justice, the ministry's press service reported on March 11.

According to the report, the decree was signed by Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych.

"The use of holograms is canceled for special-purpose forms of registers of the information system of the Justice Ministry, special-purpose forms to issue extracts from the register of ownership rights to property and special-purpose forms of ownership rights certificates," reads the report.

In addition, the Justice Ministry canceled orders for document forms on which holograms are placed. The report says that old forms will continue to be used until they run out. The order takes effect from the moment of its official publication.

As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on March 3 cancelled a presidential decree of November 15, 2000 on the protection of goods and documents with holographic protective elements.

In addition, the government on February 9, 2011 approved a resolution on amendments to cabinet resolutions regarding the protection of documents and goods using holograms drawn up by the Justice Ministry. The document declares invalid cabinet resolutions that regulate the protection of documents and goods using holograms.
