This idea of prohibiting dual citizenship is stupid. Most modern countries recognize the cosmopolitan and international nature of people. People immigrate from one country to another for various reasons, but it does not mean the end of their ancestral, emotional and historical ties with their ancestral country. For majority of Ukrainians living abroad, Ukrainian passport and citizenship are important, vital parts of the connection they have with their roots.

This guy Victor Shvetsis not necessarily correct in his statements. Ukraine may not be allowed into EU if it bans dual citizenship.
