“Nothing will change there, in Russia.

They just change faces, but the behavior and policy of their authorities toward Ukraine will be the same. I don’t think there will be any significant changes.”

Valeriy Pylypenko,

advertising executive

“I think we’ll get some changes. We have pro-Russian authorities, so the first thing that will change is the position of our authorities concerning Russian authorities.

However, I have no idea whether these changes will be good or bad. Nothing can be predicted in our country.”

Mariya Kyrpychenko,

journalist

“Russia influences us a lot, whether we want this or not, but the results of these elections were predictable; the same people from United Russia will be back in power.

So I don’t think anything will change for us. Probably they will try to suppress us a bit more, as Russia is not interested in our friendship with Europe, but we’ll barely feel the difference.”

Alla Lutsenko,

student

“It depends on the official results of Russian elections. But as far as I understand from mass media, United Russia is not going to win again.

If they really fail to win the parliamentary election, it can mean the whole system can change in Russia and this will definitely mean changes to better for Ukraine.

Vyacheslav Kostyuchenko,

entrepreneur

“We’ll have changes only if our elections will be held according to the democratic standards.

Russian elections don’t interest me at all.”
