A late August 2,000-kilometre drive through the deserted landscape of Siberia, alone, in a Lada seemed like a typical week in the life of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. After all, the former president has posed bare-chested on vacation, taken on tigers and grey whales, flown helicopters and demonstrated his expertise at judo. Read the story here.
