Second Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma has said that he has found a new defense lawyer.

"I have found one," Kuchma said on April 4 before his interrogation at the main investigation department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, when asked whether he had found himself a new lawyer to replace Ihor Fomin, who was banned by the PGO from defending the ex-president.

"You understand that certain procedure have to be followed. What if he [the lawyer] is not accepted [by the PGO]?" Kuchma added.

At the same time, the ex-president said that he had two lawyers and advisors.
