Second Ukrainian President (1994-2005) Leonid Kuchma has again said that a former officer of the State Security Guard of Ukraine, Major Mykola Melnychenko, was never his guard.
"I don’t know him personally and I would never like to know him at all. I want to stress again that he never was my guard… He was attached from the department of the State Security Survive that was in charge of the protection of the president from interception. So draw your own conclusions," Kuchma told reporters in Kyiv on Monday before his questioning at the main investigative department of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office.
