Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko at a meeting with a delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of European (PACE) has said that the justice is not selective in Ukraine.

"This is not selective justice," Hryschenko said, commenting on the criminal cases opened against representatives of the opposition in Ukraine.

According to him, it is very important that those who were or are in power are responsible for their actions.

"Especially if there are clear signs that this activity creates a threat to national security and the prosperity of the country," the minister said.

He added that in many European countries, including the leading states of the EU, such investigations are conducted.

"I call on you to wait a little, and you’ll see that this investigation is being carried out properly," Hryschenko told PACE representatives.

The minister also said he hoped that if officials are held responsible for their actions in line with the law, then Ukraine would achieve the highest standards and combat corruption.
