Judge Rodion Kireyev has announced the court’s decision to accept Yulia Tymoshenko’s request to refuse the services of her lawyer.

According to Tymoshenko’s official website, the court also issued a separate resolution stating that Mykola Tytarenko improperly performed his duties to protect his client.

"Do you think that everything can be resolved by force," Yulia Tymoshenko said in response to the court decision.

Earlier today Yulia Tymoshenko said she is refusing the services of her lawyer Mykola Tytarenko because the court has not given him sufficient time to review the case file and thus he is unable to defend her properly. She also asked the court for at least three days, starting on Tuesday, July 12, to find another lawyer.

"If I am deprived of my right to have three days, you will force me to appear for three days without a lawyer. This will be another violation of the law," Yulia Tymoshenko told the court.

Though, judge Rodion Kireyev has decided to appeal to the qualification and disciplinary commission of the bar due over the refusal of Mykola Tytarenko, a lawyer for former Ukrainian Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, to act as her defender, Interfax reports.

"The lawyer should not commit any actions aimed at delaying the court proceedings. In fact, the refusal by lawyer Tytarenko to defend Tymoshenko is leading to delays in the proceedings," Kireyev said in response to Tymoshenko’s petition regarding her decision not to use Tytarenko’s services.

Therefore, the court will inform the qualification and disciplinary commission of the bar regarding the improper fulfillment by the lawyer of his duties, he said.

Tytarenko is currently on sick leave, and he said that due to his poor condition, he had no time to read the case materials.
