Former Ukrainian prime minister and leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko during the court hearing on Thursday filed two applications requesting the disqualification of Prosecutor Oleksandr Mykytenko and the admission of defense councils Serhiy Vlasenko, as well as two American lawyers.

Tymoshenko again refused to stand to read her statements saying that her petitions were available to judge Rodion Kireyev since she had submitted them to the court’s office.

The judge read out statements and gave them to prosecutors to study.

Previously Tymoshenko already asked the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv to allow two Ukrainian and to U.S. lawyers to defend her.

The court admitted the Ukrainian lawyers but refused to allow two U.S. lawyers to the trial.

Tymoshenko said that two foreign lawyers represented U.S. law firm Covington & Burling LLP and auditing company BDO.
