U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft has asked the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to give him an opportunity to visit ex-premier and opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko in Lukyanivka detention centre, BBC reported.
The press service of the U.S. embassy confirmed that the embassy made such a request to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. The ministry replied that their request had been sent to Pechersky District Court in Kyiv.
There has been no court’s decision yet.
