Batkivschyna party leader and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has been delivered to the Pechersky District Court in Kyiv to continue her trial dealing with the 2009 Ukrainian-Russian gas supply agreements.

Before the start of the proceedings, the ex-premier traditionally greeted everyone present with the words “Glory to Ukraine!”

Yulia Tymoshenko’s husband, Oleksandr, arrived at the Pechersk Court with a bouquet of white roses. "These flowers for my wife are from her supporters," he said, adding that the bouquet will stay next to Yulia Tymoshenko in the courtroom, Tymoshenko’s official website reported.

Tymoshenko’s supporters who have gathered near the courthouse on Khreschatyk Street are chanting ‘Disgrace’ and ‘Yulia is Our President.’

According to Interfax news agency, members of the press have not been admitted to the courtroom.

Tymoshenko’s opponents including members of the Ukrainian Military Union, led by former parliamentarian Oleh Kalashnykov of the Party of Regions, are also holding their demonstration near the courthouse.
