The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has rejected a petition lodged by the defense team of former acting Ukrainian Defense Minister Valeriy Ivaschenko to change the measure of restraint against him from arrest to a travel ban.

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that the court had taken such a decision on Friday after another petition was announced by Ivaschenko’s lawyer, Borys Nechyporenko.

In its ruling, the court also asked the prison director to respond to complaints from Ivaschenko regarding the condition of his health.
