You're reading: Prosecutor General: Tymoshenko’s guilt proved by investigators

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka has said that the guilt of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in the Russian gas supply contract case has been proved by investigators.

"I have no right to comment on new facts in the trial of Yulia Tymoshenko, because they are being considered in court, but I can say unambiguously that Tymoshenko’s guilt has been proved by investigators," he said at a briefing in Donetsk on Friday.

"What was gathered by investigators has been confirmed in court… The investigators have provided enough materials to the court for it to decide whether Tymoshenko is guilty or not," Pshonka said.

He said that in any case, the court would bring the trial to a conclusion.
