Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense MP Hennadiy Moskal has withdrawn from the Verkhovna Rada a bill granting amnesty to former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, saying it needs further consideration.

"Due to incorrect statements made against him and reproaches regarding his cooperation with the Presidential Administration, Hennadiy Moskal has withdrawn from the Verkhovna Rada a draft law granting amnesty to Yuriy Lutsenko and Yulia Tymoshenko. The bill will be finalized and focus on the release of Lutsenko, including due to the poor state of his health," reads a statement posted on Moskal’s official Web site on Thursday.

A bill to pardon Tymoshenko and Lutsenko, which was submitted by Moskal on Sept. 7, was earlier registered on the official Web site of the Verkhovna Rada.

The draft law foresaw the exemption of Tymoshenko and Lutsenko from criminal liability.
