You're reading: Doctors note improvement in Lutsenko’s health

Doctors have said that the health of former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko is improving, the press service of the State Prison Service of Ukraine has reported.

"On Nov. 5, respective medical experts provided another consultation for Lutsenko on the territory [of the Kyiv pre-trial detention center]. Based on the examination and the latest results of laboratory tests, they provided recommendations regarding further nutrition and care within the institution," the service said.

According to doctors, Lutsenko’s health "has a trend of improvement and is under the active supervision of the medical staff of the Kyiv pre-trial detention center."

On Monday, the ex-minister again felt ill at a court session.

Lutsenko has been in Lukyanivka jail in Kyiv since late December 2010.
