"I have recently heard a lot of comments from the lawyers of former Prime Minister Tymoshenko regarding Tymoshenko's detention in prison, and I have given instructions to all agencies that are dealing with this issue to create the conditions that are currently envisaged at the European level. The issue concerns medical treatment, examination and detention," he said at a joint press conference with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski in Kyiv on Monday.

Today President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski has said that a real solution to the situation with the imprisonment of former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has to be found and it [the situation] should not be used only for development of the EU-Ukraine relations.

He also said that this is an issue that raises concern in relation to how this matter is perceived by the West.
