A panel of judges of Kyiv's Court of Appeals has declared legal a ruling by the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv to choose a measure of restraint for former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in the form of arrest in the case on the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU).

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that the court took such a decision on Wednesday after considering the ex-premier’s appeal.

Thus, the court rejected Tymoshenko’s appeal.

A defense lawyer for the former premier, Serhiy Vlasenko, confirmed the court ruling to journalists.
