The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, will decide at its evening sitting on Thursday whether it would consider a bill on the decriminalization of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine under which former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko was convicted.

"We agreed that at 1600 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will decide on the proposal to put this issue [the bill on the decriminalization of Article 365] on the agenda," Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn said on Thursday, while speaking about the results of a meeting of the parliament’s conciliatory council.

"Therefore, we will hold such a ranking consideration of this issue and a ranking vote so as not to ignore the bill and not to leave the dialog open," Lytvyn said.
