Mykola Kovalchuk has been appointed to the post of the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
A corresponding decree was signed by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Monday, the presidential press service reported.
On Dec. 5, 2011, Oleksandr Zabrudsky was dismissed from this post.
Kovalchuk served as deputy head of the State Department for the Execution of Sentences until February 2011.
