The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has said that they see no grounds for Ukrainian citizens to apply for political asylum to other countries.

"Ukraine complies with the principles of the rule of law and respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms. That is why we see no reason for the Ukrainian citizens to seek asylum in foreign states," the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine told Interfax-Ukraine when asked to comment on an application for political asylum in the Czech Republic by the husband of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Oleksandr Tymoshenko.
