Members of the opposition factions unblocked the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and walked out of parliament on Friday, Feb. 24

MPs of the BYT-Batkivschyna and the Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense faction had blocked the parliament’s rostrum and presidium on Friday morning as a protest against the parliamentary majority’s unwillingness to remove the bill on restructuring national gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy from the parliament’s agenda and adopt a resolution concerning the implementation of the PACE resolution.

The Verkhovna Rada didn’t manage to open its meeting on Friday. According to the regulations, the parliament works until 14.00 on Friday.

The next plenary week will be held March 13 through March 16.
