The BYT-Batkivschyna parliamentary faction demands Ukrainian Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych report on March 20 regarding the fulfillment of the instruction of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding the treatment of former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko outside prison.

"The BYT-Batkivschyna faction demands that the justice minister Lavrynovych reported during a sitting on March 20 on the fulfillment of the instruction of the international court," the leader of the faction, Andriy Kozhemiakin, said at a meeting of the conciliatory council in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, in Kyiv on March 19.

The MP said the ECHR’s instruction must be carried out by Ukraine.

In turn, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn asked Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko, who was present at the meeting, to pass the request on to the government.
