WARSAW – Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov and Polish Premier Donald Tusk discussed the case of former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko and the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Ukraine.

Tusk said this during a press conference following his meeting with Azarov in Warsaw on Thursday, according to a reporter of Interfax-Ukraine.

The Polish premier expressed his concern about the situation with Tymoshenko and said that the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Ukraine are very important for the country’s image.

Tusk also said he hoped that the efforts Ukraine has been applying for many years to develop democracy were not in vain.
