KHARKIV – There is no video surveillance in the ward at Kharkiv Central Clinic Hospital No. 5, where Ukraine's former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is due to undergo treatment, Acting Head of the State Penitentiary Service in Kharkiv region Yevhen Barash has said.

"We’re ready to bring Yulia Volodymyrivna here for hospital treatment and to provide her with a security guard. She will be protected by female prison guards. No handcuffs will be used. There will be no video surveillance of the ward. There is video surveillance in the corridors virtually everywhere in the hospital. [Video surveillance] will be carried out by police officers," he said.
