You're reading: Tymoshenko to consult with German doctors, her lawyer about choice of hospital

KHARKIV – Former prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, who is serving a prison term in Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv, has confirmed her readiness to undergo medical treatment outside the prison, Deputy Health Minister of Ukraine Raisa Moiseyenko has said.

"She is waiting for the arrival of German doctors to determine in which hospital she should be treated. Nobody knows yet when this will happen. According to Tymoshenko, she will learn this after she talks with her lawyer," Moiseyenko told reporters outside Kachanivska penal colony on Wednesday.

The deputy health minister also said that they had done their best to ensure Tymoshenko obtained treatment outside the prison.
