Regions party accuses Tymoshenko's government of unreasonably giving state guarantees
November 05 at 16:12"The unrestrained granting of state guarantees, based on the squandering of budget funds and corruption, has become the visiting card of the government of Tymoshenko," the press service of the Regions Party reported on Wednesday.
According to the press service, the government has given state guarantees worth UAH 48.7 billion, taking into account state guarantees to Naftogaz Ukrainy worth UAH 65.76 billion, while under the state budget for 2009 the government can give state guarantees not exceeding UAH 38 billion.
According to the report, the government has also adopted a resolution on giving state guarantees worth $400 million to purchase cars for disabled persons from CJSC Zaporizhia Car Building Plant (ZAZ), the report said.
"As is known, this plant is controlled by UkrAVTO, which is owned by Tariel Vasadze, an MP of Ukraine from the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko," the report said.
According to the report, the government repeatedly gave state guarantees without holding competitions, without technical and economic reasons, and it has obliged the Finance Ministry to service credits, advance payments, and other payments and expenditures during the realization of this "investment project."
