Foreign polling stations for the Ukrainian presidential elections will be set up by December 9, according to the Ukrainian Central Election Commission (CEC).

The CEC adopted the relevant procedure on forming foreign polling stations for the Ukrainian presidential elections at a meeting on Nov. 18.

Yuriy Danilevsky, a CEC member, noted that according to the law on presidential elections of Ukraine, foreign polling stations are formed at diplomatic, consular and other representative offices of Ukraine abroad, as well as at military bases located outside Ukraine.

The CEC forms foreign polling stations in line with the applications of the Foreign Ministry that should be submitted to the commission 45 days before the elections, that is by Dec. 2.
