The Regions Party indents to create a new coalition in the Verkhovna Rada and form a new government if party leader Viktor Yanukovych wins the presidential elections.

Deputy Head of the Regions Party Borys Kolesnikov said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"We will propose to our partners to form new coalition and then a new government. The government will be formed depending on which partners we have," he said.

Kolesnikov said that the Regions Party faction, as the biggest faction in the parliament, would nominate a prime minister and added that the faction would decide on its candidate at the sitting of the faction.

The MP also noted that the faction would "have no problems" with picking its candidate for the post of prime minister.
