Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is running for Ukraine's presidency, believes that her principal rival Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych will get to the second round of elections and called on the democratic forces to unite.
Tymoshenko was speaking at the international symposium "Ukraine in 2010-2020" attended by western and Ukrainian scientists in Kyiv on Friday.
"All our democratic candidates, who will participate in the first round if they are so eager to do this… In the second round, I am sure that Yanukovych will be there, I would ask all them to unite and support a single candidate from the democratic sector, to oppose the looming evil, which is already hanging over Ukraine," she said.
