You're reading: Yanukovych holds 10.5% lead on Tymoshenko in Ukraine poll

Ukrainian opposition leader Victor Yanukovych has 35.42 per cent of the vote in Sunday's election while Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has 24.95 with 95 percent of the vote counted, the Central Election Commission said.

The figures, with nearly all votes counted, confirmed that Yanukovych holds slightly more than a 10 per cent lead over his rival.

The two will face each other in a run-off vote on Feb. 7.
