Update: Exit Polls - Yanukovych has been elected the next Ukraine’s president
Feb 7, 2010 at 22:34 | Staff reportsNational Exit Poll 2010 found that 48.7 percent of voters chose Yanukovych, the Party of Regions leader. Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko finished close behind, with 45.5 percent of the vote, according to the exit poll. The Democratic Initiatives’ National Exit Poll is a single Western-funded poll and is considered to be the most independent of all.
ICTV's exit poll gave Yanukovych 49.8 percent of the vote while Tymoshenko had 45.2 percent.
A third poll, funded by Inter TV and conducted by Ukrainian Sociology Service, FOM, Center for Social and Marketing Research, reported that Yanukovych wins with 49.78 percent, whenTymoshenko gains 44.63 percent. Another exit poll, commissioned by Inter TV and carried out by SOCIS, 49.6 percent was receved by Yanukovych and 44.5 percent - by Tymoshenko.
According to the exit poll from TRK Ukraina Yanukovych gains 48.6 percent, while Tymoshenko finishes with 45.7 percent.
The exit poll carried out by Yevhen Kopatko’s Research & Branding group, showed the following results: 50.26 percent of the vote was given to Yanukovych, while 44.02 percent of the vote was given to Tymoshenko.
Almost all exit polls show that an average 5.5 percent of vote supported none of the presidential contenders.
We remind that earlier today 1+1 channel, controlled by billionaire Igor Kolomoysky, for some unknown reasons cancelled its exit poll to have been conducted by Oleksandr Yaremenko’s Ukrainian Institute of Social Research.
