Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who appears to have narrowly lost a presidential election to her arch rival Victor Yanukovych, has put off a news conference due later today to Tuesday, her press service said.

Tymoshenko had threatened to call her supporters onto the streets if evidence of fraud was found. On Sunday, she avoided making such calls saying she would await the final result. Latest results show her 2 percentage points behind Yanukovich.

International observers said the election was an "impressive display of democratic elections".
