"We can expect 99.9% if not 100% of the results of voting by the end of this day," he told reporters in Kyiv on Monday.

With 99% of the ballots in the Ukrainian presidential run-off counted, Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych has garnered 48.69% of the vote, while Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko had 45.73%, the press center of the Central Election Commission reported. A total of 4.38% supported neither of the candidates. The gap between Yanukovych and Tymoshenko now stands at 2.96%. The voter turnout on February 7 was 69.07%

The CEC is now receiving ballot-count documents in electronic form and has started receiving official vote returns on paper.

As reported, according to the National Exit Poll, Yanukovych received 48.7% of the vote, while Tymoshenko received 45.5% with 5.5% voting against both candidates. A total of 15,586 people participated in the exit poll. The margin of error was 2.5%.

An exit poll conducted by the ICTV channel and GfK NOP says Yanukovych received 49.8% of the vote, while Tymoshenko received 45.2%. Five percent did not support any of the candidates.

The exit poll of Research & Branding Group says Yanukovych received 50.26% of the vote, while Tymoshenko received 44.2%. A total of 5.53% did not support either candidate.

Yanukovych won 35.32% of the vote in the first round of the presidential election, while Tymoshenko had 25.05%. Eighteen candidates competed for the country's top office in the first round.
