The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc will demand a recount of votes for the Ukrainian presidential election in the country's two eastern regions and Crimea.

"The BYT will demand a mass recount of votes at polls in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Crimea," BYT faction leader Serhiy Vlasenko said at a briefing on Wednesday.

If the Party of Regions demands a recount of votes at some polling stations in western Ukrainian regions, the BYuT would support such a proposal by the Party of Regions, Vlasenko said. "We are prepared for this," he said.

About 10-12% votes cast for Yanukovych at the presidential election could be considered invalid and rigged, he said.

This rigging involved local authorities which are in charge, in particular, not only of organizing the election, but also preparing the state register of voters, Vlasenko said.
