Ukrainian businessman and former presidential candidate Sergiy Tigipko has said he will agree to become Ukraine's next prime minister if Victor Yanukovych offers him the post.

"There will be no big effort on my side – only give an opportunity to conduct reforms. We will see if such an offer is made or not. Everything depends on Victor Yanukovych here," Tigipko said in an interview published in the Feb. 12 edition of the Segodnya newspaper.

Tigipko also said he has already congratulated Yanukovych, who was announced the winner of the second round of Ukraine’s presidential election.

"We met on Tuesday and I congratulated him on the outcome – not yet on victory as there have been no official results from the Central Elections Commission yet," he said.

Before last Sunday’s second round of voting, Tigipko said he would not call on his supporters to vote for any either candidate in the run-off poll between Yanukovych and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. He also said he would agree to become prime minister under the president whose program is close to him.
