Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense (OU-PSD) faction leader Mykola Martynenko is not planning to submit to Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn the signatures that confirm the existence of the current coalition in the Verkhovna Rada.
"They are demanding this from us to make somebody guilty of destroying the coalition," he told reporters on Monday, when asked whether the OU-PSD faction will submit documents to confirm the existence of a parliamentary coalition, as demanded by Lytvyn.
Martynenko said that 37 faction members had voted for the creation of the current coalition.
"Now they want 55 signatures from us, otherwise, if we don’t submit 55 signatures, then will have to blame for this. So they’re currently seeking somebody to politically accuse of destroying the coalition," he said.
"This is not our game. I’m not involved in [collecting] signatures," he said.
Martynenko also said that he was against any collection of signatures.
"It’s unnecessary to submit any documents [to the speaker], as this is just political speculation and nothing more," he said.
