Ivan Kyrylenko, leader of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction, has blamed the Lytvyn Bloc for the collapse of the Ukrainian parliament coalition.

"The Lytvyn Bloc has essentially left the coalition and essentially killed it," Kyrylenko told the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday after Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn announced that the coalition had ceased to exist.

Kyrylenko lamented the event, saying that society should know, "who initiated the destruction of the democratic coalition."

According to earlier reports, Lytvyn has announced the termination of the activities by the parliamentary coalition comprising the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction, the Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense faction, and the Lytvyn Bloc faction. The NU-NS faction is composed of members from nine parties.
