Vasyl Nadraha has become Ukraine's labor and social policy minister.

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, approved the new cabinet at a meeting on Thursday.

Nadraha was born in the town of Kamensk, Buryatiya, Russia, on August 19, 1958. Since 2008, he has served as a member of the board of insurance funds for industrial accidents and industrial diseases in case of unemployment or a temporary loss of ability to work. He has been a member of the board of the Pension Fund since 2002. He was also elected a people's deputy in a majority constituency.
