Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has introduced new Defense Minister Mykhailo Yezhel to the high-ranking staff of the Armed Forces command.

"I've known Mykhailo Yezhel for many years. I had occasion to deal with him as a person and commander-in-chief of the Navy. I've always been confident that his words are accompanied by deeds," he said.

Yanukovych also introduced the new vice premier for the defense complex, Volodymyr Sivkovych, to the officers.
