Yuriy Boiko heads Fuel and Energy Ministry

Boiko, born in 1958, held the post of Ukrnafta CEO (Kremenchuk Oil Refinery based in Poltava region) from August 2001 to February 2002. From January 2002 to July 2003, he served as deputy state secretary at the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry.
From July 2003 to March 2005, Boiko was Ukraine's deputy fuel and energy minister, while February 2002 through March 2005, he worked as the head of Ukraine's state oil and gas company Naftogaz.
August 2006 through November 2007, Boiko held the post of fuel and energy minister in the government led by former Prime Minister and current President Viktor Yanukovych.
Since November 23, 2007, Boiko has been a Regions Party MP of the sixth convocation and deputy head of the parliamentary committee for the fuel and energy complex and nuclear security.
