Simferopol, March 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Crimean parliament has approved a member of the Regions Party faction in the Ukrainian parliament, MP Vasyl Dzharty, as the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the autonomous republic.

Dzharty was nominated by the newly appointed speaker of the Crimean parliament – Volodymyr Konstantinov. He announced that this nomination was agreed with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, as required by the Constitution of Crimea.

The appointment was supported by 82 out of 89 members of the Crimean parliament who were registered for voting.

Dzharty was born in 1958 in Donetsk region.
