Government now able to hold smaller meetings in emergency situations
Mar 19, 2010 at 15:54 | Interfax-UkraineRelevant amendments are stipulated in a resolution of March 17, which has been posted on the government's official Web site.
"The prime minister can decide to hold a cabinet sitting [with a reduced number of members] if it is necessary to take measures to prevent emergency situations or liquidate their aftermath or in other emergency cases," reads the resolution.
A meeting, in particular, can be held with the participation of the prime minister, the first vice prime minister, vice ministers, the economy minister, the finance minister, the justice minister, the interior minister, the defense minister, the emergency situations minister, the minister of the cabinet, and other members of the government.
