Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko has outlined directions for reformation of diplomatic service, he gave the information on the Inter TV channel late on Friday.

Asked what is the potential of Ukraine's diplomatic corps and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's system and what changes could be done in the sphere of foreign affairs if the whole vertical structure of Ukrainian diplomatic service were not changed, the minister said that today Ukrainian diplomatic corps faces under-financing.

"Unfortunately, we have serious problems to provide for not surviving of embassies, but for their possibilities to work efficiently, seriously and mightily in those countries, where [this work] is important for us from the point of view of our future," he said.

"I think that there would be dismissals, but I point out that we'll try to retain the infrastructure to the extent practicable," the minister said.
