The funeral of prominent politician Oleksandr Zinchenko will take place on Friday, June 11, the press service of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (BYT) faction in Kyiv City Council has reported.
The farewell ceremony for Kyiv City Council deputy Oleksandr Zinchenko from the BYuT faction will be held in the column hall of Kyiv City State Administration on the same day.
Zinchenko will be buried at the Baikove cemetery.
A funeral meal will be served in the dining room of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As reported, Zinchenko died at the Feofaniya hospital in Kyiv on June 9, at the age of 53.
Zinchenko served as director general of the National Space Agency of Ukraine from February 2009 to March 2010. Since May 2008, he has been a Kyiv City Council member from the BYuT faction.
In 2005, he served as secretary of state, while in 2002-2005, he was as deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament.
